Taylor G. Martens Taylor grew up in Camden, Maine and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Forestry. He worked as a mason tender and carpenter before venturing out on his own to build his own house and start Taylor-Made Builders. In his new home he started operating TMB out of a small basement office. From there the business moved to an office trailer adjacent to his home, to what is now our “permanent home” on Route 1 in Northport, along with our cabinet shop and kitchen showroom. Taylor lives in Northport with his wife and their three children. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family on the water. |

Norman J. Dalholt Norm’s construction experience began when he was 8 years old, sweeping floors and carrying lumber at his fathers building sites. He comes from a long line of Norwegian boat builders and carpenters with a reputation for quality craftsmanship (and pillaging). Working with his Dad through the years he gained the experience and attention to detail necessary to build a quality home. In 1986, Norm moved to Seattle where he served as a Youth Pastor for 3 years. He got back into construction and started his own business shortly thereafter. In 1998 he moved back to New England to be closer to family. Norm joined the Taylor-Made staff in April of 2001 and since then he has managed several new home projects and remodels from Islesboro to Port Clyde. His eye for detail and creative ideas add a personal touch to each project. His Viking heritage still runs through his veins as he seeks to produce the highest quality project possible and maybe just a little pillaging. |
